A new player is making waves in the UAE’s gaming community — and it’s proudly Filipino. Double G Esports Entertainment, launched by tech entrepreneur Sharlon Quiohilag Almeda under Al Meda Digital Solutions LLC, is offering limited free memberships exclusively to Filipinos in a bid to build a powerhouse esports team for major competitions, including the high-stakes Dubai Police Esports Tournament this August.

“The goal is to harness the skills of Filipino gamers and to create a group to compete at big esports games, like the Dubai Police Esports Tournament,” Almeda said.

Open to gamers of all levels, Double G is positioning itself as one of the fastest-growing Filipino-led esports communities in the region. Filipino players can register for free, but only for a limited number of slots. Once the target threshold is reached, sign-up fees will apply to all members — including Filipinos. Meanwhile, non-Filipinos can also join for a one-time AED 100 fee, currently offered at a 50% discount for a limited time.

Members get access to exclusive tournaments, prizes, and an active Discord community where strategies, schedules, and esports news are shared. Gamers can sign up via the official registration form: https://forms.gle/W8Hgc7B9Pd9Vm3QYA. Membership remains free only for a limited number of sign-ups, after which fees will apply.
With games like Mobile Legends, Counter Strike 2, and Valorant featured in the upcoming Dubai Police Esports Tournament — which boasts a total prize pool of AED 200,000 — Double G hopes to rally talented Pinoy gamers and put the Filipino flag at the forefront of regional esports.
