Ajman Police warn e-scooter and bike riders to follow road rules amid rising violations

Ajman Police have issued a fresh warning to riders of e-scooters and electric bikes, urging them to follow traffic rules and prioritize safety after a spike in violations was caught on video.

The advisory, released Tuesday, highlights multiple dangerous behaviors committed by two-wheeler users. These include riding without helmets or protective gear, moving against traffic on one-way roads, misusing pedestrian crossings, and entering streets through exits.

In a video shared by the authorities, footage showed a number of riders disregarding basic traffic safety protocols, prompting renewed calls for compliance.

This follows a broader push across the UAE to curb unsafe use of electric and motorized two-wheelers. In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently impounded 19 motorcycles for various infractions. According to Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the RTA’s Licensing Agency, the violations involved reckless driving, lack of protective gear, and operating without the required professional training certificate.
