‘Make sure jowa o asawa ‘yan!’ Itchyworms pokes fun at Coldplay’s viral affair moment

Following the now-viral kiss cam moment during Coldplay’s Massachusetts concert that allegedly exposed an extramarital affair, Filipino rock band The Itchyworms took to social media with a cheeky reminder for their fans.

During the show, a couple shown on the big screen appeared caught off guard while sharing an embrace. Their startled reaction — quickly covering their faces — triggered laughter from the crowd. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin added fuel to the buzz, joking, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Internet sleuths later identified the pair as Andy Byron, the CEO of tech company Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the firm’s Chief People Officer. Reports revealed that Byron is a married man, prompting the company’s board to launch a formal investigation into the matter.

The Itchyworms, known for their wit and humor, chimed in on Facebook by posting an illustration of a woman being hugged from behind, referencing the infamous moment. Their caption read:
“Paalala: May photographers and videographers kami sa concerts, make sure jowa or asawa ang kayakap!”

The post quickly gained traction online, with fans applauding the band for their playful jab while subtly pointing out the potential risks of being under the spotlight during public events. Coldplay has yet to issue a statement about the incident.
