Five former overseas Filipino workers received financial assistance on July 18, 2025, as part of the government’s efforts to support their reintegration into local life through small business ventures.
Each beneficiary, who had worked as domestic helpers in Hong Kong and the Middle East, was granted Php 10,000 under the Department of Migrant Workers’ (DMW) Livelihood Program for OFW Reintegration (LPOR). The assistance was distributed at the newly inaugurated Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub in San Juan City.
The DMW booth at the hub is staffed with Action Officers ready to serve walk-in OFWs and their families. Aside from financial aid, the department also offers legal assistance, a referral system, and on-site training programs such as the Financial Awareness Seminar–Small Business Management Training (FAS-SBMT).
