Dubai Sports World (DSW) is set to make this summer unforgettable with a special August Edition packed with energy, sports, and all-ages activities — including Dubai’s first-ever indoor half marathon.
Running daily from 8:00 am to midnight between August 3 and September 2, the month-long event will transform over 25,000 square meters of the Dubai World Trade Centre into a buzzing hub of fitness and fun, offering more than 40 courts and pitches for sports like football, basketball, padel, tennis, badminton, and volleyball.
The launch day will feature the city’s first indoor half marathon, the DSW Run IN, giving runners a chance to race in a fully air-conditioned space, complete with cheering zones and professional timing — a rare treat during Dubai’s hottest month.
Families are also in for a treat. The expanded Dubai Kids World will keep younger visitors active with inflatable slides, arcade games, and obstacle courses, while parents hit the courts or make use of the free community gym, now equipped with top-tier cardio and strength training machines.
“Dubai Sports World has become one of the most prominent and important community fitness events in Dubai’s calendar,” said HE Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council. “It encourages active lifestyles and creates opportunities for social interactions over the summer – enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors.”
The edition also includes the DSW Summer League on August 23 — a high-spirited inter-company sports competition designed to bring UAE’s workplace athletes together.
Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Vice President at Dubai World Trade Centre, emphasized how this edition goes beyond expectations. “From the inaugural Indoor Half Marathon to the free community gym and enhanced facilities, this edition reinforces our dedication to creating an inclusive, accessible and engaging sporting experience for all.”
With nine sports academies, including Galaxy Blues and Taal Basketball Academy, DSW is also nurturing future sports stars. Seamless booking, real-time availability, and QR check-ins are available via the Dubai Sports World app.
