Public parking in Dubai will be free on June 27 for Hijri New Year holiday

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that public parking will be free of charge across the city on Friday, June 27, in celebration of the Hijri New Year. The exemption, however, does not apply to multi-level parking terminals.

Normal parking fees will be reinstated on Saturday, June 28.

The RTA also confirmed revised operating hours for public transport. Dubai Metro will run from 5am on Friday until 1am the next day, while Dubai Tram services will be available from 6am until 1am.

All Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on June 27, except for Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and the Head Office, which will continue to operate 24/7.

Vehicle testing services and service provider centres will also pause operations for the day and will resume on Saturday.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the S’hail or RTA apps to check updated schedules for buses and marine transport.
