OFWs in Dubai urged to register early on DMW portal for smooth OEC issuance

Filipino workers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates are being advised to register as early as possible on the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) E-Registration Portal at https://portal.dmw.gov.ph, even before their employment documents are verified.

According to the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai, this early step is vital for a hassle-free issuance of the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), which will only be granted once the OFW’s contract has been verified—whether through onsite manual processing at MWO-Dubai or via online submission.

To assist with the process, OFWs can refer to the official guides provided for creating an account or recovering login credentials. These contain detailed, step-by-step instructions to help users navigate the system.

MWO-Dubai also reminded workers who already have an existing E-Registration account from https://onlineservices.dmw.gov.ph not to create a new one. They are instructed to simply log in using their current credentials. Creating multiple accounts is strictly prohibited and could lead to problems with OEC processing.

Even if a worker’s contract is still pending verification, registering early will ensure their profile is ready the moment verification is complete—making the OEC process faster and more efficient.
