Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino are teaming up once again—this time for a new series titled The Alibi, marking their fourth collaboration as an on-screen pair.
ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment officially confirmed the project through a social media announcement on Wednesday, June 18, unveiling the characters of Vincent Cabrera and Marie Morales, portrayed by Avelino and Chiu, respectively.
Penned by Danica Mae Domingo, the series will be helmed by seasoned directors FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin.
The Chiu-Avelino tandem began with the 2023 hit Linlang, which premiered on Prime Video before transitioning to free TV in 2024. Their chemistry carried over to the local adaptation of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, and most recently, they shared the big screen in My Love Will Make You Disappear, released last March.
No further details about the plot or release date of The Alibi have been shared yet, but fans can expect another intense and compelling performance from the well-received duo.
