The Philippine Pavilion has officially opened its doors at INDEX Dubai 2025, marking the country’s highly anticipated return to the region’s largest interior design trade event after a four-year hiatus.
Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 27 to 29, the pavilion showcases the work of ten standout Filipino brands under the banner DESIGNPhilippines, with the unifying theme “Handcrafted for the World.” The exhibit reflects the Philippines’ deep-rooted heritage of craftsmanship, combined with sustainable practices and modern design.
“Our presence here is not just about promotion—it’s about positioning Filipino design excellence on the global stage,” said Leah Pulido Ocampo, Executive Director of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) in a May 24, 2025 Manila Standard report. “With MENA’s evolving market, our creative enterprises are more than ready to contribute.”
Organized by CITEM and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Dubai, under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Philippine Pavilion is a strategic initiative to connect local manufacturers with global buyers, developers, architects, and design professionals.
Renowned Filipino designer Ito Kish, serving as the pavilion’s creative director, curated the entire space. His involvement brings a refined storytelling approach to the exhibition, amplifying each product’s cultural identity and aesthetic value. Known for merging heritage with function, Kish ensured that every detail—from product selection to visual merchandising—captivates the region’s discerning market.
Featured items include meticulously handcrafted furniture and home décor made from locally sourced, eco-friendly materials such as rattan, wood, stone, leather, and clay. The collections not only represent sustainability but also underscore the Philippines’ evolving design language and its commitment to quality and innovation.
Visitors can experience the Philippine Pavilion at Stand AR-F211 in the Trade Centre Arena of the Dubai World Trade Centre throughout the three-day show.
