Three food outlets shut down in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain over repeated safety violations

Authorities in the UAE have ordered the closure of three food establishments in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain after they were found repeatedly violating food safety regulations, posing a risk to public health.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) announced the administrative shutdowns in line with Law No. (2) of 2008 and its enforcement rules. Inspectors found that the businesses had consistently failed to correct their practices despite multiple warnings, prompting decisive action.

The establishments affected include Chettinadu Multi-Cuisine Restaurant LLC in Abu Dhabi (license CN-1070357), Nasaem Al Nile Pastries and Sweets in Al Ain’s Al Jimi area (license CN-4472448), and Diamond City Supermarket in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi (license CN-1247285).

According to ADAFSA, inspections revealed ongoing non-compliance with basic food safety measures. “The administrative closures will remain in effect until the violations are resolved,” the authority stated, adding that reopening would only be allowed once full compliance is met.

Authorities have urged residents to play a role in ensuring public health by reporting food safety issues through the Abu Dhabi Government’s toll-free hotline: 800555.
