Marcos expresses openness to reconciling with Dutertes

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed his willingness to reconcile with the Duterte family, emphasizing his preference for peace and unity in governance.

“I don’t want trouble. I want to get along with everyone. I already have enough enemies; I don’t need more. I need friends,” Marcos said in an interview with broadcaster Anthony Taberna.

The president underscored that his focus remains on stability and collaboration, even if there are differences in policy perspectives.

“I’m always open to any approach — if someone wants to work together, even if we don’t agree on policies,” he added.

The statement comes amid speculations of a rift between Marcos and the Duterte family, particularly with Vice President Sara Duterte.
