LOOK: This stunning airport in Saudi Arabia is expected to open by the end of this year

Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has successfully commenced its first flight service between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and the newly operational Red Sea International Airport. The inaugural flight, SV1571, took off from Riyadh at 10:50 am on Thursday, September 21, completing the journey in a mere two hours.

The introduction of this service is scheduled to include two flights from Riyadh and an equal number returning from the Red Sea International Airport every Thursday and Saturday. This initiative marks a significant milestone in Saudia’s ongoing commitment to expanding its robust network, building on the success of its operations at NEOM Bay Airport.

The commencement of this route is attributed to the synergistic collaboration between Saudia, Red Sea Global, and daa International, who are responsible for operating the Red Sea International Airport. Ibrahim Koshy, the CEO of Saudia, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration: “This synergy has resulted in the creation of an exemplary integrated work environment at the airport, aligned with the highest quality standards.”

Koshy further emphasized the airline’s dedication to enhancing the travel experience for its passengers through the provision of well-trained personnel and the availability of essential equipment and supplies for smooth operations. He also highlighted Saudia’s commitment to offering digital self-service options to travelers.
