The Philippine Embassy and Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Abu Dhabi kicked off their first Community Outreach for 2025 by extending vital consular and welfare services to Filipino communities in Al Dhannah City and Madinat Zayed, located in the Western Region of the Emirate.
Over the course of the outreach, the joint team successfully processed 735 services, which included passport renewals, notarial services, civil registrations, welfare assistance, and contract verifications. The initiative also doubled as a platform to amplify voter awareness and engagement among overseas Filipinos for the 2025 national elections.
Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso A. Ver emphasized the importance of bringing these services directly to where Filipinos live and work. “Providing consular and migrant welfare services to the local Filipino communities in Al Dhannah and Madinat Zayed is an extension of the Embassy’s primary mandate to serve and champion the welfare of our kababayan in the UAE,” he said.
The outreach reflects the growing presence of Filipino communities beyond Abu Dhabi City and underlines the Embassy and MWO’s commitment to reach even the most remote areas. The last time similar activities were held in these locations was in November 2023 for Al Dhannah and July 2024 for Madinat Zayed.
