An Indian woman and her two-year-old daughter died after falling from the balcony of their 17th-floor apartment in Sharjah on Saturday afternoon.
According to a report by Gulf News, the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Authorities stated that the woman’s husband was asleep inside the apartment at the time of the fall.
Emergency services, including police patrols, forensic teams, and the National Ambulance, responded promptly after being alerted by witnesses. The woman was declared dead at the scene, while her daughter, who sustained critical injuries, was transported to the hospital but succumbed approximately an hour later.
Sharjah Police have classified the case as a suicide, though the motive remains unclear. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
