The desert heat didn’t stand a chance. On April 5 & 6, Dubai Invite 2025 brought the fire to The Sevens Stadium—not just with the sun, but with 14 competitive teams and over 300 Ultimate Frisbee enthusiasts ready to run, dive, and sky for glory.
In what was the first-ever international mixed Ultimate tournament in Dubai, players from across the UAE, Kuwait, Russia, India, Bahrain, and the Philippines converged for a weekend of high-level play, sweaty hugs, and of course, the unbeatable Spirit of the Game.
The Philippines’ very own Off Grid soared to the top, securing the championship title with style (and maybe a couple too many layout Ds). Atomswift from Russia glided into a well-earned second place, while Dubai’s hometown heroes and tournament hosts, Tiki Taka Ultimate, claimed bronze—with equal parts grit, grace, and glitter (okay, maybe not glitter, but there was sweaty shower).
What made this tournament extra special? Apart from being the UAE’s international mixed debut, it teamed up with some of the biggest names in Ultimate. Ulti.TV brought the action to living rooms worldwide with live streaming that captured every jaw-dropping huck and sideline dance. Ultie.org kept the tournament running smoother than a perfectly thrown flick. Our official tournament gear was brought by Force Ultimate, while every point was played with our official discs from Eurodisc—reliable, balanced, and as ready for action as the disc heads themselves.

This year’s edition wasn’t just a tournament—it was a milestone, a celebration, and a preview of greatness to come. As Tiki Taka Ultimate Dubai gears up to celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, Dubai Invite is set to return—bigger, bolder, and maybe even with a bit more sunscreen.
