Malacañang has dismissed public concerns over President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s health after a video showing what seemed to be his gums bleeding during a recent speech gained attention online.
The footage, taken during the “Paggunita sa mga Bayani sa Araw ng Kagitingan” and the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program ceremony in Quezon City on April 9, sparked speculation among netizens, with many pointing out visible traces of blood while the President was delivering his speech.
But according to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro, there’s no cause for alarm.
“Nothing to worry po… Kaka-meeting lang po namin kaninang umaga… Wala naman po akong nakikitang hindi maayos ang kalusugan niya,” Castro said in a GMA News Online report.
The Palace emphasized that the President remains active and continues to fulfill his official duties without issue.
