Filipino pride takes center stage in Al Khobar’s ‘Passport to the World’ cultural festival

Filipino culture is set to dazzle the Eastern Province as the highly anticipated “Passport to the World” festival officially launched on April 7 at Holiday Inn Khobar, with its first day of festivities at Askan Park opening on April 9.

Bringing together the rich traditions of Sudan, India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh, this month-long celebration transforms Al Khobar into a hub of cultural exchange. Each country is featured on specific dates, with the Philippine showcase scheduled for April 23 to 26 — a four-day celebration filled with cultural performances, traditional food, and special appearances by Filipino celebrities.

Filipino content creators and influencers from the Eastern Province — including Happy Sandscapes, Dave Navarro, Geraldo Hunter, Bob Sawyer, Kabayan Hart, Sus Maryosep, and Mr. Rey — proudly represented the Philippines during the launch. As official media partners, they’ll be bringing highlights and updates to the Filipino community across Saudi Arabia.

The event, endorsed by the General Entertainment Authority of KSA, offers free admission via the Webook app, with a VIP access option for SAR 100. Festival-goers can enjoy immersive booths and world-class entertainment, making it an ideal destination for families, culture lovers, and OFWs craving a piece of home.

The country line-up continues throughout April and May: Sudan (April 9–12), India (April 16–19), Philippines (April 23–26), and Bangladesh (April 30–May 3).

All the action takes place at Askan Park, located at 7674+8WC, 3879 King Abdul Aziz Road, Iskan, Al Khobar 34626.
