Fil Arts, a community-led collective of Filipino creatives, is set to make a bold appearance at World Art Dubai 2025 as part of the Tribe: Philippine Pavilion — while also proudly maintaining its independence as a unique voice in the global art scene.
Seven Filipino artists — Emilia Castus, Faith Gaufo, Haidee Zablan, Irish Ponce, Kharen Tacmo, Nelia Fabia, and co-founder Romeo Robis — will present original works that reflect personal stories, cultural identity, and contemporary expression. Their artworks aim to showcase the evolving spirit of Filipino art, grounded in tradition yet embracing modern narratives.

“Our mission has always been to bring the creativity of Filipino artists into the world while honouring each artist’s unique journey,” says Robis.
The group joins forces with Carlo Garrido, the artist, collector, and founder of the Pavilion of the Philippines, whose efforts have helped spotlight Filipino talent on international platforms. Through this collaboration, Fil Arts reinforces its mission to nurture artistic growth and cultural pride among Filipinos across the globe.

In line with the UAE’s Year of Community, Fil Arts will also host a special workshop titled Sound of Art on April 19, 2025, in partnership with the Filipino Deaf Society. The event will welcome 25 participants, highlighting the role of art as a bridge for inclusion and social connection.
Although proudly part of the larger Philippine Pavilion — which includes over 45 Filipino artists and 11 local galleries — Fil Arts continues to stand on its own, showcasing the strength of independent, community-driven creativity.
