A new batch of Filipino nurses officially took their oath on March 14, 2025, at Warwick, Al Dabab, marking a significant milestone in their professional journey. The ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Raymond Balatbat, the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Yemen, alongside the 2024-2025 officers of FiNArabia, representing the Eastern and Riyadh Chapters.
The event highlighted not just their commitment to excellence in healthcare but also their dedication to volunteerism and camaraderie. As one of the largest groups of foreign healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia, Filipino nurses play a crucial role in the Kingdom’s medical sector. An estimated 130,000 Filipino nurses are currently employed in Saudi Arabia, drawn by competitive salaries, state-of-the-art facilities, and career advancement opportunities.
Many nurses choose to work abroad due to limited job opportunities and lower wages in the Philippines. In Saudi Arabia, they gain exposure to cutting-edge medical technology and training, allowing them to refine their skills and contribute significantly to patient care.
