President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. described his 12-man Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate as a “dream team” during a campaign rally in Camarines Sur on Friday.
Marcos said he found it easy to endorse his candidates, emphasizing that all of them were respectable and well-qualified.
“It’s very easy for me to present our senatorial candidates. Why? Because look at the lineup of Alyansa para sa Senado. You’ve heard them speak, you’ve heard about their accomplishments, and you’ve heard their plans if elected,” he said.
He further praised the team, calling them a high-caliber group.
“When you put them together, this is almost the dream team. For politics, this is the dream team for the Senate,” he added.
Marcos also said he would consider himself the “luckiest” President if his entire slate won in the upcoming midterm elections.
“If they all get elected, I will be the luckiest President. With a team like this, we can accomplish a lot, and you will feel the benefits from the national government,” he said.
The Alyansa slate includes Benhur Abalos, Abby Binay, Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano, Ping Lacson, Lito Lapid, Imee Marcos, Manny Pacquiao, Tito Sotto, Tol Tolentino, Erwin Tulfo, and Camille Villar.
