In a bid to foster environmental stewardship and promote sustainability, GoMommy, in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General – Dubai, is set to host an exclusive tree planting event titled “Malasakit” on March 7, 2025. This green initiative will take place from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary and aims to bring together VIP guests, community leaders, and eco-advocates for a meaningful afternoon dedicated to giving back to nature.
The event is designed to support the global movement toward environmental conservation while also strengthening community ties among Filipinos and the wider Dubai community. Organized specially for the Philippine Consulate General – Dubai and their team, the initiative aligns with the core value of “malasakit,” a Filipino term that embodies compassion and concern for others, extended through this act of caring for the environment.
To ensure a smooth and sustainable experience, GoMommy has outlined several pre-requisites for participants. The designated meeting point is the Hassyan Coal Power Plant Security Gate in Jebel Ali, with attendees advised to take Exit 2 and refer to the provided location link at bit.ly/treereservedubai for navigation assistance. Due to limited parking availability at the sanctuary, participants are highly encouraged to carpool or arrange group transport to minimize carbon emissions and ensure efficient use of space.
Comfortable clothing and flip-flops are recommended for the event, allowing attendees to move easily during the tree planting activities.
