In honor of the homecoming of the UAE’s astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi, passengers landing at the Dubai Airports on September 18 and 19 will be received with a special stamp bearing the phrase ‘Sultan AlNeyadi Homecoming’ alongside the official mission name: Zayed’s Ambition.
The unique initiative was introduced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) as a part of the grand celebration marking AlNeyadi’s return after the completion of the longest Arab space mission.
Sultan AlNeyadi has made history by being a part of a momentous space expedition, clocking in approximately 4,400 hours in space.
He safely returned to Earth aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule on September 4. During his time on the International Space Station (ISS), AlNeyadi conducted over 200 experiments which spanned 585 hours, collaborating with 10 international space agencies and partnering with 25 educational institutions from the UAE and around the world.
