The UAE has officially opened the Wam border crossing in Dibba Al Fujairah, improving connectivity with Oman. Operations began on Wednesday, February 26, allowing for smoother travel between the two nations.
Covering an area of 1 million square meters, the border facility houses 19 buildings designed to streamline entry and exit processes. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, highlighted in a Gulf News report that the new post aims to facilitate movement and strengthen trade ties between the UAE and Oman.
Simultaneously, Omani authorities announced the launch of the Dibba Border Crossing in Musandam, further enhancing travel and trade links. Authorities have reminded travelers to ensure they have the necessary documents and follow all required procedures when crossing.
