Dubai Ruler His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, a major humanitarian initiative dedicated to honoring fathers across the UAE. The campaign, announced ahead of Ramadan, establishes a sustainable AED 1 billion endowment fund aimed at providing healthcare and treatment for the underprivileged.
This initiative aligns with the 2025 Year of Community, declared by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan under the theme Hand in Hand. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the campaign not only celebrates the role of fathers as guides and mentors but also strengthens family values through philanthropy.
“Fathers are our first teachers and protectors. Through this initiative, we honor them by providing healthcare to those in need. This is our way of giving back during Ramadan,” Sheikh Mohammed stated, calling on individuals and organizations to contribute.
The campaign builds on the UAE’s long-standing tradition of charitable Ramadan initiatives, following previous successful efforts such as the 1 Billion Meals and Mothers’ Endowment campaigns. The Fathers’ Endowment will focus on improving access to medical treatment, supporting hospitals, and providing medicine to underserved communities worldwide.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) will oversee the campaign, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to philanthropy and sustainable humanitarian projects.
