Dubai International Airport (DXB) has issued a travel advisory in anticipation of a surge in passenger traffic between February 20 and 28, as a mix of global events and school holidays is expected to drive record numbers.
During this period, DXB is set to accommodate over 2.5 million travelers, averaging 280,000 daily. The peak is forecasted to exceed 295,000 passengers on Saturday, February 22.
Authorities are urging travelers to use the Dubai Metro for seamless airport transfers, particularly between Terminals 1 and 3. Additionally, passengers arriving at Terminal 1 should take note that the Arrivals bus stop will be unavailable starting February 21, with alternative transport details accessible via the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) website.
DXB continues to break records, surpassing its forecasted 91.9 million annual passengers in 2024 by reaching 92.3 million—an increase from 87 million in 2023. The airport also outpaced its pre-pandemic peak of 89.1 million in 2018.
December 2024 was the busiest month on record, with 8.2 million passengers passing through DXB.
