Jam Ignacio, the fiancé of DJ Jellie Aw, has broken his silence following allegations of physical abuse, expressing deep remorse and seeking forgiveness from his partner and her family.
In an interview with GMA News, Ignacio admitted his regret over the incident, which Jellie previously detailed on social media by sharing photos of her injuries. The DJ claimed she nearly lost her life due to the alleged beating.
Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Ignacio explained that their misunderstanding, coupled with exhaustion, led to the altercation. “Tao lang din siguro ako… Baka napuno lang din siguro ako. Hindi ko sinasabi na tama pero hindi ko para itolerate na gawin ulit. Humihingi ako ng tawad, pasensya na talaga. Sorry sa lahat,” he said.
Despite the controversy, Ignacio emphasized his love and support for Jellie, expressing his desire to privately reconcile. “Hon, alam mo yan kung gaano kita kamahal. Alam mo yan kung gaano kita protektahan, bantayan… Sana, bigyan mo ng pagkakataon na ayusin natin ‘to pareho––ng pribado na sa ating dalawa,” he pleaded.
He also reiterated his commitment to their future together, saying he still hopes to build a family with Jellie. “Alam mo na gusto ko na ikaw na yung makasama ko talaga… Nagmamakaawa ako sa’yo. Sana ayusin natin ‘to, sorry sa lahat.”
As of now, Jellie has yet to respond. Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Investigation stated that Ignacio could face charges under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
