Saudi authorities have arrested eight expatriates in separate operations in Riyadh and Jeddah for alleged violations of public morality laws, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
In Riyadh, three expatriate women were taken into custody at a hotel on charges of prostitution. According to a Gulf News report, the arrests followed a security raid led by Riyadh Region Police in collaboration with the General Department for Community Security and Combating Human Trafficking Crimes. The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution after legal procedures were completed.
Meanwhile, in Jeddah, five individuals were arrested at a relaxation and body care center for allegedly engaging in activities that breached public morals. The operation, carried out by Jeddah Police alongside the same security unit, led to legal action against the suspects.
Authorities also reported that the Jeddah Mayoralty imposed penalties on the massage center for regulatory violations. The crackdown is part of the kingdom’s ongoing efforts to enforce public morality laws.
