Dubai is gearing up to host the region’s largest ‘women-only’ sporting event, the Dubai Women’s Run 2023. Set to take place on November 5th, at 6 a.m. in Dubai Festival City, the event celebrates the spirit of womanhood in the Middle East.
Initiated by the UAE Athletics Federation and the Dubai Sports Council, the event has grown exponentially over the years, attracting a vibrant community of runners, both local and international.
This year’s event is set for a metamorphic change, bringing together women from all walks of life to celebrate strength, endurance, and the never-say-die spirit of today’s woman.
Details of the run
Participants can choose from a variety of distances to compete in, with categories based on age and race distance. The categories and their respective registration fees are as follows:
- 3KM Junior (0-18 years): AED105.00
- 3KM (19-99 years): AED131.25
- 5KM Junior (0-18 years): AED157.50
- 5KM (19-99 years): AED183.75
- 10KM Junior (16-18 years): AED157.50
- 10KM (19-99 years): AED183.75
The event promises not just a race, but a holistic experience with each runner receiving a race shirt, refreshments, and a timing chip. Additionally, upon completing the race, participants will be awarded a certificate and a medal to commemorate their achievement.
