Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has officially commissioned the Al Emarat Corvette (P111), a cutting-edge naval vessel built to the highest international military standards. The announcement was made on Friday through his social media platform X.
Sheikh Hamdan shared a video of the commissioning ceremony, where he was seen inspecting the vessel, walking down a red carpet, and boarding the warship to examine its key features. The event also featured a formal greeting by naval personnel and a symbolic flag-raising ceremony, during which UAE fighter jets performed a flyover.
Designed for enhanced defense capabilities, the Al Emarat Corvette is equipped with advanced panoramic sensors, radars, electro-optical devices, and an electronic warfare suite. It also boasts high-tech communication systems and specialized weather monitoring equipment to ensure superior operational efficiency.
Sheikh Hamdan commended the Emirati professionals involved in the ship’s development, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to military innovation. “I also commend all national efforts that contributed to its design and development and remain committed to investing in cutting-edge military technologies,” he stated.
