Adnoc retains title as UAE’s most valuable brand for the seventh year

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has been named the UAE’s most valuable brand for the seventh consecutive year, with a brand value of $18.9 billion, according to a report by consultancy Brand Finance. The oil and gas giant also climbed two places to become the sixth most valuable energy brand globally, surpassing TotalEnergies and BP.

Adnoc achieved a 25% year-on-year increase in brand value and now ranks as the second most valuable brand in the Middle East. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Adnoc’s group CEO, attributed this success to the company’s focus on sustainable growth and its commitment to benefiting the UAE.

Under Dr. Sultan’s leadership, Adnoc has expanded its global presence and launched new initiatives, including XRG, a lower-carbon energy and chemicals unit valued at over $80 billion. The company has also partnered with BP on a gas-focused joint venture in Egypt named Arcius Energy.

Dr. Sultan earned recognition as the top-ranked energy CEO globally and the highest-ranked CEO outside the US and Europe in Brand Finance’s Brand Guardianship Index. Adnoc’s efforts in decarbonization, artificial intelligence innovations, and international growth have strengthened its global standing.

The company reduced its carbon emissions by 6.2 million tonnes in 2023 and aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
