Olympic boxer Eumir Marcial denies wife’s infidelity claims, calls allegations ‘untrue’

Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Marcial has denied accusations of infidelity from his wife, Princess Jeniel Galarpe, after she publicly claimed their 14-year relationship ended due to his alleged affair with another woman.

Princess detailed her grievances in a lengthy Facebook post, accusing Eumir of being unfaithful with a woman identified as “Jessa,” whom she claimed to have caught with him at an Airbnb in Pasay City last October. She also alleged Eumir withdrew their joint savings to build a house in Zamboanga City for himself and the woman.

Despite the betrayal, Princess said she gave her husband multiple chances to reconcile. However, she said Eumir continued the alleged affair, leading her to finally cut ties after enduring “trauma, manipulation, emotional stress, physical abuse, and psychological torment.”

Eumir responded to the allegations during an interview with local media, admitting that their relationship had been troubled for some time but denying Princess’ accusations. “Hindi na maayos ‘yung relasyon [namin] dahil parati kaming nag-aaway,” he said, adding that Princess often hurt him during their disputes.

He refuted claims of infidelity, saying the woman in question was just a friend. “’Yung babae na nakita nila sa picture, kaibigan ko ‘yun,” Eumir explained, asserting they were not alone during the meeting.

The boxer also denied withdrawing their savings for personal use, stating, “’Yung joint account namin, nasa kanya. Lahat ng titulo ng bahay at properties namin, nasa kanya.”

Eumir expressed disappointment that their private issues had been brought to the public, saying, “Gusto pa niya kumuha ng simpatya sa taong-bayan… Lahat ng sinabi niya sa social media, hindi totoo.”

Princess dismissed Eumir’s rebuttals in subsequent social media posts, sharing photos as “evidence” to counter his claims. She maintained that their relationship was intact until she allegedly caught him with the other woman last year.
