Dubai Police reported receiving a total of 24,723 calls across their emergency and non-emergency lines during the New Year celebrations. The calls spanned from noon on December 31, 2024, to noon on January 1, 2025, as the emirate hosted grand festivities with extensive security arrangements.
The emergency line, 999, handled 22,606 calls, while the non-emergency line, 901, addressed 2,117 inquiries. Additionally, 398 live chat inquiries were managed through electronic platforms.
Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Director of the General Department of Operations, commended the professionalism and efficiency of the police teams, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring public safety during high-demand periods.
Dubai Police reminded the public to reserve 999 for emergencies and use 901 for non-urgent matters to maintain efficient operations and community support.
