The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Dubai and Northern Emirates, in partnership with the Philippine Chefs Association, successfully wrapped up its series of skills training programs on December 14, 2024. The final session, focused on baking, marked the conclusion of the reintegration training series held from November to December.
Participants received completion certificates, while the Philippine Chefs Association was recognized with a certificate of appreciation for their vital role in supporting the program. The training aimed to empower the Filipino community in Dubai and Northern Emirates, including residents of the MWO-Dubai Migrant Workers Resource Center, with practical skills for reintegration and livelihood opportunities.
Assistant Labor Attaché Nelia A. Olivera emphasized the significance of such initiatives in aiding Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) during the reintegration phase of their migration journey. She thanked OWWA and the Philippine Chefs Association for their dedication to helping OFWs transition to entrepreneurship and achieve financial stability for their families.
