The 1 Billion Followers Summit has announced the top 10 content creators shortlisted for the world’s largest award for digital creators, with a grand prize of $1 million. The finalists were chosen from over 16,000 submissions representing 190 countries, showcasing the transformative power of creative content.
Each nominee embodies the award’s mission to inspire, unite, and promote compassion and empathy through their digital platforms. Public voting is now open at vote.1billionsummit.com and will close on December 28. The winner will be revealed on January 13, following a final judging panel’s deliberation.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who aims to position the UAE as a global hub for innovation and digital talent. The shortlisted creators, including advocates for women’s health, environmental conservation, and acts of kindness, represent diverse backgrounds and impactful stories.
Finalists include Dr. Adanna Steinacker from Nigeria, Nepalese mountaineer Nirmal Purja, and inspiring American creator Charlie Rocket. Other candidates include educational innovators like Egypt’s Ahmed AbuZaid and Saudi Arabia’s Nasser Al-Oqail, alongside humanitarian efforts led by Creators for Lebanon and Palestine’s Mahmoud Zuaiter.
The five creators with the highest votes will advance to the final stage, where an esteemed panel will evaluate their work before announcing the winner at the summit.
