Philippine Embassy urges Filipinos in UAE to act before December 31 amnesty deadline

The Philippine Embassy in the UAE and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai are urging Filipinos with visa violations to take advantage of the UAE Amnesty Program, which ends on December 31, 2024. The program offers an opportunity for individuals to regularize their residency status or exit the country without incurring penalties.

With just 14 days remaining, the Embassy reminded Filipinos to act promptly to avoid further fines and restrictions. Under this amnesty, overstayers and individuals with residency violations can resolve their visa issues or obtain exit permits without facing travel bans or legal consequences.

How Filipinos can avail of the Amnesty Program:

  • Regularize Residency Status – Apply for a new work or residency permit.
  • Secure Exit Permits – Leave the UAE without incurring penalties.
