The Sharjah Municipality has announced the implementation of paid parking in Al Dhaid City, effective January 1, 2025. The new parking fee system will apply from Saturday to Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
Fridays will remain free of parking charges, except in specific areas where fees will apply every day, including weekends and public holidays. These zones will be clearly marked with blue signboards indicating the all-week paid parking policy, Khaleej Times reported.
This move is part of the municipality’s efforts to enhance urban infrastructure and optimize the use of public spaces. Authorities had earlier revised parking hours for seven-day zones across Sharjah, extending paid hours to 16 hours daily, from 8:00 AM to midnight, starting November 1. These zones are identified by blue information signs and operate throughout the week, including holidays.
