Actress Yasmien Kurdi calls out daughter’s school over alleged bullying incidents

Actress Yasmien Kurdi recently opened up about the alleged bullying her daughter Ayesha faced at school, sharing the experience on social media.

In a series of Instagram posts, Yasmien revealed that Ayesha was reportedly “targeted” by classmates for failing to keep up with group messages about their Christmas party while on vacation. The situation escalated when Ayesha was allegedly surrounded by several classmates, “blocked from leaving the classroom,” and denied access to food and recess.

“In other words, she was ganged up on,” Yasmien wrote, describing the incident.

Yasmien also disclosed that their family had taken a vacation to help Ayesha recover from stress caused by previous incidents, including an instance where another student reportedly recorded her without consent, leading to “paranoia and anxiety.” The actress added that Ayesha had been dealing with bullying since Grade 2, noting the existence of an “Ayesha Hate Club” created online to target her.

Calling out the school, Yasmien questioned its response to the incidents. “I know that bullies are everywhere. The question is, will the school do something about this?” she asked, though she refrained from naming the institution.

In a heartfelt message to Ayesha, Yasmien expressed her regret and unwavering support: “I’m sorry for everything you’re going through because I am your mom. But I will always be here for you. I will protect you with all my life.”

Ayesha’s father, Rey Soldevilla Jr., also voiced his encouragement in the comments, writing, “Brave girl, Ayesha! Papa loves you so much!”

Yasmien and Rey share two daughters, Ayesha and Raya Layla, the latter of whom was born in April.
