Actor Archie Alemania has submitted a counter-affidavit in response to a complaint of acts of lasciviousness filed by his colleague Rita Daniela. The filing, reported on Dec. 10 by GMA News, took place at the Bacoor Hall of Justice in Cavite as part of the ongoing preliminary investigation.
Alemania, accompanied by his lawyer Ameir Muksan, declined to comment on the case. Meanwhile, Daniela’s legal counsel, Maggie Abraham-Garduque, confirmed her presence during the submission and emphasized efforts to prevent any encounter between the two parties to safeguard Daniela’s mental health. “The counsel of Archie is amenable to that,” she added.
Daniela is expected to file her response to Alemania’s counter-affidavit on Dec. 17. According to Garduque, the actress remains emotionally affected by the incident.
The complaint stems from an alleged incident on Sept. 9 during a Thanksgiving party, where Alemania reportedly made an inappropriate remark toward Daniela. Later that evening, he allegedly offered her a ride home, during which he is accused of making unwelcome physical advances, including touching and kissing her without consent.
Daniela claimed Alemania later apologized via text, attributing his behavior to being intoxicated at the time. The two actors were co-stars in the teleserye Widows’ War.
