The Filipino Social Club Dubai (FilSoc) has been honored as one of the 25 most outstanding nonprofit organizations in Dubai by the Community Development Authority (CDA) through its prestigious “Ethraa: Empowerment Program for Non-Profit Organizations.” This accolade celebrates organizations that align with the Dubai Social Agenda 2033, a framework emphasizing inclusivity, community development, and societal well-being.
FilSoc emerged as one of the 17 recipients in the Platinum category, which acknowledges organizations excelling in service quality and the integration of priority groups. Other categories included Diamond, recognizing six organizations for exceptional support to vulnerable groups, and Gold, honoring two institutions for innovative and inclusive initiatives.
Ericson Reyes, President of FilSoc, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that it reflects the collective efforts of the group’s volunteers, members, and the Filipino community in the UAE. “This award is not just for FilSoc—it is a tribute to the dedication of everyone who has contributed to our mission of unity and service,” Reyes said.
Ellanie Villena, FilSoc Vice President, echoed this sentiment, extending appreciation to the UAE for fostering an environment of diversity and collaboration. “We are immensely grateful to the UAE for providing Filipinos opportunities to thrive in a nation that values inclusivity and social progress,” Villena remarked.
Founded in 2019, FilSoc is the first government-regulated Filipino nonprofit organization in Dubai. It aims to promote community engagement among Filipinos while collaborating with multicultural groups across the UAE.
