Dubai’s skyline is set to dazzle as the 30th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) kicks off on December 6, featuring daily fireworks and drone shows. For the first time, the festival will combine fireworks and drones into spectacular “pyro-drone” displays on select dates.
The festivities will run for 38 days, concluding on January 12. Highlights include the pyro-drone shows on December 13 at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR, with 150 drones lighting up the sky alongside skydivers at 8 PM and 10 PM. Another showcase of pyro drones will take place on the DSF closing weekend, January 11.
The daily drone shows, featuring 1,000 drones, will perform twice nightly at 8 PM and 10 PM at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR. The first theme, running from December 6 to 26, celebrates DSF’s 30-year legacy, while the second theme, from December 27 to January 12, highlights iconic 2D and 3D drone formations of Dubai landmarks.
Daily fireworks displays will also light up Dubai Festival City Mall at 9:15 PM, while Hatta will host twice-weekly fireworks every weekend at 8 PM.
Complementing the shows, Dubai Lights installations will illuminate key locations across the city, blending technology, immersive projections, and interactive inflatables. Spanning venues like Bluewaters Island, Al Seef, and Kite Beach, the installations will celebrate the five elements: Water, Air, Fire, Energy, and Connection.
