Actress and vlogger Kristel Fulgar has revealed she is officially in a relationship with her South Korean suitor, Suhyuk Ha. In a heartfelt YouTube video titled “Finally, my first boyfriend,” Kristel shared glimpses of Suhyuk’s baptism into her faith, Iglesia ni Cristo, a significant step in their journey that took nearly 11 months.
Kristel expressed her joy in the video, saying, “Words can’t fully capture the happiness I’m feeling in this moment. I’ve never known a love like this before, it fills me with peace.”
In a touching gesture, Suhyuk asked Kristel to confirm their relationship by touching his back once if she agreed or twice if she didn’t. After recalling how she had initially rejected him due to their differing beliefs, Kristel handed Suhyuk a baptism gift—a black wallet—before touching his back once, signaling her yes. Overwhelmed, Suhyuk said, “Thank you, my baby. I love you!” to which Kristel responded with her own “I love you.”
Earlier this year, Kristel shared videos of their bonding moments in Korea and Suhyuk’s visit to the Philippines. A fluent Korean speaker, Kristel was also honored at the 2023 Global Influencers Award in South Korea, where she received the Influencer of the Month recognition for her YouTube content.
