UAE residents brace for rainfall and temperature dip on Wednesday

Rainfall is expected in parts of the UAE on Wednesday, accompanied by cooler temperatures, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM previously issued an advisory warning of dust storms and rain affecting various areas from today through Friday. The forecast indicates partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, particularly in western, northern, and coastal areas.

Winds are predicted to range from moderate to fresh, occasionally becoming strong, especially over the sea. These winds may stir up dust and sand inland, potentially reducing visibility. Sea conditions will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf, with waves reaching up to 10 feet offshore, and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea by evening.

The NCM has issued orange and yellow alerts for coastal areas, with sea level changes anticipated from Thursday morning until Sunday morning.

Temperatures could drop to as low as 13°C in mountainous regions, while internal areas might see highs of 27°C. Humidity levels will vary, peaking at 90% in internal areas and dropping to 15% in the mountains.
