Etihad to connect Abu Dhabi with 10 major cities across Asia and beyond

Etihad Airways has revealed plans to launch 10 new destinations in 2025, expanding its global network to cater to growing demand. The new routes, starting in July, will connect Abu Dhabi to Atlanta, Taipei, Medan, Phnom Penh, Krabi, Tunis, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, Hanoi, and Algiers, according to a report by Khaleej Times.

The airline emphasized the strategic importance of these routes, noting that it will be the only carrier offering non-stop flights from the UAE to many of these destinations. Tunis and Algiers will see earlier launches, with three weekly flights to Tunis starting November 1, 2025, and four weekly flights to Algiers beginning November 7, 2025.

Direct flights to Atlanta, set to begin on July 2, 2025, will make it Etihad’s fifth destination in the United States, following New York, Washington, Chicago, and Boston. The airline also highlighted its growing focus on connecting Asia and Europe, with plans to increase flight capacity to European destinations by 36% in 2025.

Etihad projects 2025 to be a record-breaking year, with expectations to serve over 18 million passengers on 115 operating planes, a significant increase from 2022. The airline continues to invest in expanding its global reach, driven by sustained growth and profitability.
