Marcos to visit UAE for one-day working trip on November 26

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to visit the United Arab Emirates on November 26 for a brief but significant one-day working trip, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced on Saturday.

The highlight of the visit will be a meeting with UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi. The discussions aim to strengthen ties between the two nations through new agreements and areas of collaboration.

“These productive dialogues are expected to deepen the partnership between the Philippines and the UAE, harnessing their shared values and interests,” the Palace said.

Marcos will also express gratitude to the UAE for fostering Filipino talent, acknowledging the country’s environment of respect, kindness, and tolerance that allows Filipinos to thrive.

While the trip will include only a small delegation, the Palace emphasized its potential to bring substantial goodwill and opportunities, further solidifying the relationship between the two countries.

The president apologized to the Filipino community in the UAE for not meeting them during the visit, citing the urgent need to return to Manila to oversee relief and reconstruction efforts in areas impacted by six recent typhoons and storms.
