Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy plans to file a petition for bail in response to the charges against him, according to his lawyer, Israelito Torreon.
Speaking on Friday, Torreon expressed his intention to prove that the evidence against his client is weak. “We hope to file a petition for bail soon and for it to be granted, allowing him temporary liberty,” Torreon said, adding that bail is a right if the evidence of guilt is not strong.
The pre-trial for Quiboloy’s child and sexual abuse case resumed on Friday at Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 106. During the session, details such as the number of exhibits and witnesses to be presented were finalized.
Torreon confirmed that the pre-trial order would soon be issued, paving the way for the trial phase. The next hearings are scheduled for January.
