UAE residents are set for a four-day weekend as the country celebrates its 53rd National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) announced that private sector employees will have paid holidays on December 2 and 3, coinciding with the Saturday-Sunday weekend.
The announcement aligns with a Cabinet decision ensuring a unified holiday schedule for both public and private sectors. This policy aims to provide equal breaks for all workers across the UAE.
National Day marks the unification of the Emirates in 1971 and will see festivities across the country.
