On November 30, 2024, Dubai will host the founding induction of Bagong Katipunan ng Bayan (BAGKAT), a movement dedicated to uniting and empowering Filipinos around the world. Timed to coincide with Bonifacio Day, the event pays tribute to Andres Bonifacio, whose revolutionary ideals of service, loyalty, and unity underpin BAGKAT’s mission.
The induction ceremony at Al Zarooni, Room 603, will feature symbolic rituals such as a blindfolded procession, candlelight observance, and a pledge to BAGKAT’s principles. These acts echo the original Katipunan’s transformation from darkness to enlightenment. The event marks the start of a movement aimed at addressing modern challenges faced by overseas Filipinos, including cultural adjustment and economic hardships.
BAGKAT is collaborating with the Filipino Institute, ensuring that its members can access institute venues in the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain. These spaces will host meetings, leadership training, cultural events, and community support activities, enhancing the movement’s reach and impact.
Membership in BAGKAT offers a sense of community, leadership growth, cultural preservation, and support for overseas Filipinos. By joining, members commit to living by the core values of Paglilingkod, Katapatan, and Pagkakaisa—principles that can transform lives and foster solidarity among Filipinos worldwide.
BAGKAT calls on all Filipinos to join this movement and embrace Bonifacio’s legacy. To learn more or inquire about membership, visit the Bagong Katipunan ng Bayan’s official Facebook page.
