Over Dh75 million allocated to clear debts of 158 UAE citizens

Sharjah has allocated over Dh75 million to relieve debt burdens for local citizens, aiming to enhance financial stability in line with directives from Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme Council Member.

According to a Khaleej Times, the approved sum, Dh75,261,000, marks the 27th installment in a series of debt relief efforts and will settle financial liabilities for 158 individuals, including those convicted in financial cases and deceased debtors.

Rashid Ahmed bin Al Sheikh, Head of the Emiri Court and Chairman of the Debt Processing Committee, noted that since the initiative’s inception, a total of Dh1.2 billion has been disbursed, benefiting 2,501 people across Sharjah.
