Starting today, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with the Arab Radio Network (ARN), invites Dubai Metro commuters to join in the annual Public Transport Day celebration with an exciting hunt for the “Mystery Man.” This three-day challenge offers participants a chance to win AED 10,000 daily and an additional 50-gram gold bar for the lucky commuter on November 1.
Dubai Eye 103.8 and Tag 91.1, both ARN stations, have released essential guidelines for those eager to try their luck and meet the Mystery Man. Here’s everything you need to know to participate and win.
Who can join?
To qualify, participants must:
- Be at least 18 years old and a UAE resident. Participants under 18 can join but need to be accompanied by an adult.
- Use the exact phrase to win: “Are you the Dubai Eye 103.8 Mystery Man?” or “Are you the Tag 91.1 Mystery Man?” The Mystery Man will only respond with “yes” if the participant uses this precise phrase.
Where and when to find him?
The search is limited to Dubai Metro stations, and participants have a designated time to approach the Mystery Man each evening from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Missing the exact phrase or asking outside these stations or hours means the Mystery Man will deny their identity.
Rules for winning the cash prize
If you’re the first to identify the Mystery Man, here’s what you need to remember:
Exact timing and phrase: The question must be asked during the designated time and phrased correctly. If any words are missed, or if asked outside the timeframe, the Mystery Man will deny being who you think they are.
One winner per day: Only one lucky commuter will claim the AED 10,000 prize each day, and previous winners and their family members are not eligible for subsequent days.
Eligibility: Those connected with ARN, RTA, or associated brands like Duchini from Shoemart, Edit by Ahmed Siddique, and Subway are not eligible.
Bonus prize and publicity
For an extra twist, the RTA and ARN have added a 50-gram gold bar prize for the lucky commuter on the final day, November 1. All winners are expected to participate in publicity photos, interviews, and ARN’s social media promotions, sharing their experience and celebrating with Dubai’s commuters.
