Korina Sanchez steps in as new host of TV5’s ‘Face to Face: Harapan’

Korina Sanchez-Roxas has been officially named the new host of TV5’s hit afternoon talk show “Face to Face: Harapan,” previously led by Karla Estrada. Sanchez will take the reins starting November 11 as part of the network’s “Hapon Champion” block, bringing her years of broadcast experience to a fresh, updated version of the show.

TV5 hinted at a “Pinakamala-K na Makeover ng Taon,” promising a new look and feel while maintaining the program’s essence as a platform for resolving real-life issues. The show will continue to feature its “barangay hall on-air” style, engaging guests in direct, sometimes heated confrontations with a focus on resolution.

In a teaser video posted on October 28 by MQuest Ventures, Sanchez can be seen making her way to TV5’s offices, declaring, “Magkakaharapan na. Ikaw, may mukha ka bang ihaharap (It’s time for a face-off. Do you have the courage to do it)?”

Sanchez’s appointment follows Karla Estrada’s tenure, which ran from May 2023 until October 2024. The show, which began in 2010 with original host Amy Perez and briefly featured Gelli de Belen, is known for its raw approach to tackling real issues in a community-inspired setting.
